More Divine Promises in the Time of Fear


The Fear of Oppression and Persecution
«And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house» (Ezekiel 2: 6).

 

Fear of Loneliness
« Fear not, for I am with you;
      Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
      I will strengthen you,
      Yes, I will help you,
      I will uphold you with My righteous right hand» (Isaiah 41: 10).

« Fear not, for I am with you» (Isaiah 43: 5).

 

Fear of the Future
« Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore» (Revelation 1: 17, 18).

« Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Fear of Earthquakes and Disasters

Fear of Immigration and Travel
« I am the God of your father Abraham; do not fear, for I am with you» (Genesis of 26: 24).

« I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there. 4 I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again» (Genesis 46: 3-4).

 

Fear of Alarming News
« He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
         His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is established» (Psalm 112: 7- 8).

« Do not be afraid of sudden terror,
      Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes» (Proverbs 3: 25).
 


Fear of the Unknown
« When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
      Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.

Fear of Failure
« Now the LORD said to Joshua: “Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed» (Joshua 8: 1).

« And the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand; not a man of them shall stand before you» (Joshua 10: 8).

« Do not be afraid; only believe» (Mark 5: 36, Luke 8: 50).

 

Fear of Mistakes
« He will not allow your foot to be moved;
         He who keeps you will not slumber» (Psalm 121: 3).

« Then surely you could lift up your face without spot;
      Yes, you could be steadfast, and not fear» (Job 11: 15).

 

Fear of War and Terrorism
« And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul» (Matthew 10: 28).

« you shall not be afraid of them, but you shall remember well what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt» (Deuteronomy 7: 18).

 

Fear from Others’ Fear
«And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled» (1 Peter 3: 14).

Fear of Anything
